Full Day Tours

Isle of Skye Tour seeing Eilean Donan Castle, Elgol or Sleat or Portree, returning via the Black Isle. Duration - 9 hours.

We design this tour based on your requirements and adapt the itinerary depending on the length of time you spend at each beauty spot or heritage location.

After Invermoriston you take a stunning drive towards the romantic Isle of Skye. En route is some of Scotland's most dramatic scenery including the renowned Five Sisters of Kintail.

After arriving at one of Scotland's most photographed castles, Eilean Donan, you will then cross the arching Skye bridge to the Isle. Then you can go north to the island capital - Portree, south towards the Sleat Peninsula and Armadale or west for Elgol. Your ultimate choice may be determined by weather, as this tour offers great views of the Cuillins either from the Sleat Peninsula or from remote Elgol, where Bonnie Prince Charlie hid out from the redcoats.

The leisurely drive back to Inverness takes in the Black Isle and views of both the Moray Firth and Beauly Firth. On the return journey you join the Lochcarron road to enjoy some stunning scenery.

It should be noted that in poor weather we may recommend alternative routes and will discuss this with you on the day. Also, during the winter, early spring and late autumn, daylight may curtail some aspects of the tour.

£660.00 for seven seater vehicle and tour guide.

Fort William, with Mallaig, Glenfinnan and the Glenfinnan (Harry Potter) Viaduct via the Great Glen and the Road to the Isles. Duration 9 hours (Train fare not included).

The giant valley which splits Scotland in two is called the Great Glen and you will travel most of its length!

As well as travelling the length of Loch Ness we pass through the village of Fort Augustus, named after the infamous William Augustus Cumberland who defeated Bonnie Prince Charlie at Culloden in 1746 and then committed some awful war crimes upon the Highland people. Next you will view Loch Oich, crisscross the Caledonian Canal and then see the stunning Loch Lochy ... also reputed to have a monster! Further on your westward journey you see the famous Commando War Memorial set in isolated splendour.

From Fort William you branch northwest taking the beautiful "Road to the Isles". Here we'll see the Glenfinnan monument which marks the raising of the '45 standard by Charles Edward Stuart, but for those interested in the real story it is more interesting to see the actual spot which also provides the most stunning views of the Glenfinnan viaduct, otherwise known as the Harry Potter viaduct.

A wonderful day for those wishing to see as much as possible during their Highland visit.

Half Day Tours

Fort George and Culloden Battlefield, Clava Prehistoric Cairns and the Moray Firth - Duration 6 Hours.

On the way to Culloden we will be introducing you to the politics that led to the last major battle fought to be fought on British soil on 16th April 1746

At Culloden Battlefield itself you will be personally guided with some emotive, but true stories of the battle itself and shown why Charles Edward Stuart and his five thousand men lost their cause to reinstate the rightful monarchy onto the throne of Britain.

You will learn of the significance of the Sweet William flower and the black house and dykes on the battlefield itself.

After the Battle of Culloden the government built the new Fort George to put the Highlanders down once and for all. This incredible fortress is still home to the British army and will be of great interest to anyone fascinated by Scotland's more recent (250 years) military history.

The aftermath of the Battle of Culloden may have seen the kilt banned for ordinary people, but when they joined the armed forces they had to wear the kilt as a uniform, but this time to fight for King George II. Find out more at Fort George.

£460.00 for seven passenger vehicle and guide.

Aviemore and Cairngorm National Park - Duration 4 hours

Firstly you will head for the Cairngorm Mountains for wonderful views over hundreds of square miles of the Highlands, weather permitting! If the Mountain Railway reopens it is not just fun and scenic, but also leads to the Ptarmigan Restaurant for a stunning coffee break location and there is an excellent exhibition on the natural history of the Cairngorms. There are a vast range of other attractions to visit within the valley of the River Spey if the Mountain Railway is not operational.

The tour can incorporate various options to visit forests or beaches or perhaps a trip to Aviemore and the Strathspey Steam Railway. There is the reindeer paddock, Loch Morlich, the Folk Museum and thatched village, the Wildlife Park, the Sheepdogs and much more. This is a particularly lovely area of Scotland and completely different scenically to Loch Ness and the Western Highlands.

Clan Tours

These carefully curated clan tours will take you deep into the ancestry of your name.

In Gaelic, if you were to ask where someone was from, you would ask “Co as a tha sibh?” The direct translation is “Who are you from?” You don’t need to ask more than that, because knowing who, tells you where.

The Clan System was very territorial. Each of the Clans occupied a specific area.

Our clan tours to take you into a given ancestral area, often with a look at the castle which was the original Clan seat, or their place of power.

Get in touch with us with your clan name and we will build the story of your ancestry.

Tour prices vary due to geographical variations. Contact us for more information.
