Check in/Check Out
Check in times are between 4pm and 9pm. Please contact us if you think you will arrive outside of these times.
Check out is at 11am. You can book a late check out at 1pm for a fee of £75. This is paid in advance of your stay.
If you require an early check out the more notice you give us the more we can accommodate you as we need to inform our cleaning team of any late check outs.
Age Restriction
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests under 7 years of age. Any guests who bring children to the property without our knowledge will pay a penalty of £250.00 which we will send to a local charity. There are heavy ornaments and a large stairway at the property which is not suitable for young ages. We do not have cots at the property.
Cancellations and Changes to Booking
Your reservation will be confirmed once payment has been validated via debit or credit card. Cancellations are unfortunate but we understand that they do sometimes happen. Our required notice periods and the respective refunds are as follows:
1-7 Days Notice = No Refund
8 Days or more = 100% Refund
‘No shows’ will be charged the full cost of the stay.
Please note that Christmas and New Years bookings are non-refundable. This means any booking that incorporates the 24th, 25th and 26th of December or the 31st, 1st and 2nd January.

Smoking
Highland-Escape maintain a strict no smoking policy. Including all vaping and e-cigarettes. Any breach of this ruling will incur a cleaning charge of £250. We have a designated smoking area on site. We politely request that butts are not littered anywhere on the site.
Damage to the Property
Damage to the interiors, soft and hard furnishings, art work and general property from accident negligence or otherwise will result in a charge. A £600 damage deposit is required either before, or upon arrival. We can process the deposit via any number of convenient methods including Paypal, credit, debit or charge card, bank transfer or cash. The deposit shall be returned in full upon satisfactory departure. For your piece of mind, we hold inventory and conditions reports on all articles within the property.
CCTV
For your security and protection, we have 24hr day/night CCTV which covers the perimeter and the main access points to the property for peace of mind. An internal camera covers the hallway another the rear entrance to the kitchen. We can extinguish these cameras on request, however perimeter cameras must remain active at all times.
Wet or Muddy Days Out!
We have a boot-room for all your wet and muddy gear should you fall foul of the weather on your adventures! We invite you to enter the property via the rear entrance to use our ‘Boot Room’ to kick those boots and get dried off. This helps greatly in keeping the main house clean and dry for the rest of your stay. We provide wellies in many sizes, some gillets and plenty of umbrellas for your convenience!
No Parties or Events
Strictly no parties or events to be held at The Old Manse. Church guests may not enter The Old Manse unless already taking up occupancy prior to a church event.
Marquee
When we hosting weddings we may erect a marquee on the grounds. Due to weather conditions it may be safer to set up a few days prior to the event. This is to reduce any risk of injury for the marquee team. This will be done with minimum disruption to your visit as possible. By booking with us you agree to these terms.
Cleaning
If your stay is for longer than three nights, our cleaner will visit for general cleaning and tidying duties so that you can enjoy your stay better. This comes at no extra cost to guests.
Experiences
All experiences at Highland-Escape are organised through third parties. In the unlikely event you are unsatisfied with any aspect of these experiences, they will need to be taken up directly with the experience provider. When booking experiences in advance we always aim to use our trusted providers. When there is no availability with our trusted providers we will outsource business to satisfy your requests. We always aim to find you the best service providers but we cannot guarantee this with late requests and are not liable for any unsatisfactory experiences.
Weddings
When booking the house and the church together you will have exclusive use of grounds. We kindly request that only those staying at The Old Manse enter the property as you increase your risk of damage to the property and therefore your deposit is at more risk.
We allow only dried petals or biodegradable confetti at Bona Church.
Candles are allowed inside Bona Church but must be attended to at all times.
Strictly no glassware, crockery, furniture or artefacts of any kind are to leave The Old Manse for any reason. For weddings over 12 guests glassware, crockery and cutlery will be arranged by hire.
We may take photographs of the day for social media or our website, please let us know if you would like to opt out.
Agreement
We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions. By booking your stay with Highland-Escape you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions.
